This is a Jet Lev system overlayed with carbon. It is some of my best work and I am quite proud of how nice this thing looks. The backpack is ridiculous. It consists of 10 individual pieces of carbon all hand laid and seamed together to look like one continuous piece.

Wow - very impressive!
When you say the backpack is seamed together - what exatly does that mean? Did you trim the individual parts on edges/corners so they wouldn’t be easily visible? Or did you actually align the carbon fibre weave for each part?
Both. Ill have some better pics up soon to show you a little more detail. I have to tell people that the thing is made of several peices. And even after I point out the areas that meet up, they still cant tell.
the end result looks amazing !!!
Well done, those overlays are quite work intensive.

Thanks I appreciate it. And yeah, all the refinement work sucks its so time consuming and boring. Then its all worth it at the end when that first coat of clear gets laid down.
Here are some pics of how I get seemingly seamless carbon on a joint line.
Is this a boat? What is the large tube in the front, with the yellow thing??
I do not understand this product.

Think of the boat as a floating pump house. Water is fed/forced into the boat through the bottom as you drag it behind you. The water is then pumped out of the front through a long hose which is attached to the backpack. You control the amount of water through a twisting handle, similar to a motorcycle handle. As you open the throttle the pump pumps water through the system, you go flying while dragging the boat behind you, it scoops up more water as you go. Rinse Lather Repeat.
Thanks for posting those process photos!
Just wondering if you would mind sharing your process for getting the surface all smooth and glossy? Did you use something like a flow coat, then sand and repeat until level & smooth?
