Don’t know yet as I have not looked into it. As long as you guys can see something decent and we’re all able to communicate verbally, not typing then it’s fine with me.
So how did the class go?
This was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it for anyone interested! Evan is very knowledgeable and flexible in the course content. It is a practical, hands on experience that will leave you feeling confident and ready to tackle those difficult projects. I believe Evan is putting together a structured course addressing the different needs (i.e…, mold making, vacuum infusion, finishing, etc). Also, the great thing about his location is that families could make a holiday out of a weekend course since he is located just minutes away from Disneyland. His location also makes it more affordable for those traveling from out of town since many travel or package deals are offered for trips to Disneyland. I give it a definite thumbs up.
Hey you should post some pictures Kevin!!!
And yes Kevin is now my manager in charge of booking these classes.
Okay Guys, enough with rubbing it in, now where are those pictures. Come on don’t be stingy with the info.
the class was incredibly helpful… now just to get all the products I need and start making stuff…
now where should I order it from…
Have you record this class on a video tape??? if yes I would like to have one!!!
I’m from Canada and its hard for me to go at the class for the weekend .
Let me know
David
Here are some pics of us doing some infusion -
These particular parts we were working on are for a tuned Saab project car that I am working on.
Saxman, those wax sheets for overlay build up are not to be found at Douglas and Sturgess. I went by there today and they had no idea what I was talking about. They did have the thermal form plastic that could be softened with warm water, but at $30 a sheet, this is a bit expensive for me. Any further thoughts on this?
I could have sworn that I saw some on the back shelf near all the red wax rods… I guess I was mistaken
But on that warm water to soften thermoplastic sheet would probally last a lifetime and the sheet wax, maybe a job or two?
PS: I see my pressure pot getting a lot of use at Evan’s…
Yes JM I love the pot. More so then the one that I have.
Kevin, no pictures of the finished part? Boooo!
Hey Evan, here are the pictures of the finished product. I had to clean it up a little. I also took a first pass at a hood this weekend. The fit and shape came out great, but the hood was a little more flexible than I wanted. I wanted to use a design that deleted the subframe, but maybe I will need it after all. Also, not sure if it is just the case of the Fiber Glast VER being softer than epoxy like your system three stuff. What cha think? Its really not a big deal if I have to use the subframe since I will need some of the mounting points anyway for the brackets.
very nice parts, I wish have all this skills, but working hard to make somes parts like this
good job.
very nice guys !
