Whats legal?

Whats the rules and regulations as far as composites and other chemicals in a residential area. I was thinking of making some cf stuff in my garage.

If it varies from state to state any one know the regulations in California?

With Vacuum Infusion Process and using odor suppressors in any PER, your neighbors will never know! But whenever any neighbor needs anything repair, they come to me…

What’s a good per odor suppressor?

I got mine from RevChem Plastics (Citrus) and some of my former adults students that have stopped by or re-enrolled in my class wondered what happened to the terrible smells from the spray booth and classroom!

can that be added to everything?

Gelcoats and all that?

Is it clear or does it have tint?

Im interested just because of the noxious smell of it all. Im starting to get tired of that smell…

It is clear and use it with any PER even gel coats too! A very little will do alot!

Remember to tell them you read it on here…

But is there anything really legal in Calif. at all? :frowning:

There are many on here doing it without problems in thier own garages but you have to have great relationships with your neighbors and not be doing 8 hours shifts everyday too!

A little story, an account and I was talking about selling out and moving from Calif. and a friend of his did and moved to maybe Montana or somewhere like that.

He went it to the courthouse to get his building plans approve and start getting building permits…the guy behind the desk stated something like: “You aren’t from around here are you?”
“No, from Calif.!”
“Well, that is your property and home. We don’t care what or how you build it as if it falls down on you, then it is your problem…!”

Hmmm…maybe after 52 years living here in the “Business terminator’s state”, I need to sell out and move too!

Here’s a Car Craft article on doing it in your garage:

Just ordered a quart of odor suppressant from Rev Chem. I never knew this stuff existed!!! Thank you so much Werksburg!!!

No problem and you will love it! A quart will go a LONG ways…

Just received a quart of odor suppressant from Revchem (gave then your name… very friendly people), but no paperwork came with it.

JM, how much are you adding to a given quantity of PER? And is an odor suppressant the same thing as a “styrene suppressant”?

.03%

1 gallon = 1.2cc

5 gallon = 6cc

55 gallon drum = 66cc

The class did it over a year ago and now it seems like the per needs more Odor s. added but as my smelling quailty is totally poor (no, not that reason but I had a chemical set as a elemntary school kid and mixed the wrong ones together on an alum plate…the fumes knocked me out and wasted my smelling ablities…).

Thank you for dropping My name / this forum and the more the members do, the better the deals and support from those that supported my former job training program!
