Spiral Hose - inlet or outlet?

Hey guys I was wonder, whats the difference between using spiral hose as resin feed line or as vacuum line?

I saw videos where spiral suck air and on the other hand its transporting resin.

You can use it for either vacuum or resin. Check the image and video below.

Vacuum is being drawn on the sides with the resin in the middle.

A video of the above setup.

I noticed you marked the resin front with a Sharpie towards the end of the infusion. What was the purpose of that? I am currently doing wet bagging (working on moving to infusion) and trying absorb all the tips and tricks I can.

In the end the infusion might go so slow, that you cannot see the front moving. By marking the front, you can see some progress. Better for the psyche…

Thanks for the advice, tests which I made proof that there is no difference between using it as inlet or outlet

I just made a flat test panel with using it as an inlet at one end and outlet as another.

The inlet I cut half of the hose off, and just wrapped painters tape crosswise around the tubing and taped it on one side, the outlet I just connected my vacuum using bagging tape and taped it down.

Pulled a perfect surface on a mirror. Not sure how it would work with more complex parts though but I assume the same.

I am working on a mold for a shin guards. Looks really very similar to you pic here!

I think it will work wonderfull if I use same set up that you recomend here.

Regards.
