Well, the major composite trade show for the West Coast (is there another one??? :lol: ) is this week in Long Beach (I wonder if Jesse James will be there…) this Tuesday thru Thursday for the Exhibit hall…
I might have a couple of exhibit hall only passes left over…
I have one too, but i can’t make it this week. I have too much work to do and no one to do it. it’s only for the exhibits as well, but even that’s well worth any few hour drive I say.
the sampe show sucks…I only say that cause I can’t go.
I wish I could go this year. I miss going to the shows.
I should let you guys know that another end of the plastics market is coming to the detroit area the following week
SME is presenting the rapid prototype and manufacturing show.
It is in dearborn at the Hyatt Regency. it is a somewhat small show but draws customers from all over the world. it is a highend technology show for plastic geeks. (Me too). I used to work for one of the companies and learned a lot.
They have lots of good product development stuff. Lots of urethane companies go there too.
Dougie, if any vendors there have any great videos that I might be interested in for the class, remember me won’t you…?

They have a screw off lid with a fold over attached handle to get it real tight, a foam inner lid seal and they also have a standard size small bung hole too!
Since I’m typing about buckets and pails: To keep your resins and liquids from gelling or starting to, take a bottle of Nitrogen and while the lid is only a little off, spray some into the container. This acts a “float” to prevent air from getting to the material and starting reactions.
Bondline told me today on their silicones is to they pour some of their thinner on the top as floater and it does the same thing too…

we have no such shows in australia… well, maybe we do but i have been searching and havent come up with anything!
It may be a good idea to start hosting the shows.
