I’ve never seen one, either. But I’m assuming you run that over your part and it puts the dimensions in your computer so you can cnc replicas…

That would be SO nice to have.

I have access to a cnc machine, but my 3D modeling skills need some work… lol

The Faro arm can be used for checking dimensions of a part, referenced from CAD designs. Used for QC of parts to make sure they’re the right shape, and to verify location of edges, holes, etc. for mating parts.
It can also be used to “draw” a CAD model of an existing part by touching desired points of an object.

And I still need to find a white GT3! :wink:

Ok. machine shops in their quality control departments sometimes have a CMM machine, it does the same thing as the farrow arm as of your description. Touch points on the part and it can measure the part or plot it onto a CAD program. Useful tools.
