Need an infusion resin to cure at temperature

Hi everyone.

Does anybody know where I can get an epoxy infusion resin that can be cured at temperature?

I was going to use carbon mods’ infusion resin which according to their guide can be cured at 80 degrees in 4 hours. However after speaking to them they have said that nobody wants or needs that resin so they changed it and now the new one cures in 8 hours at room temperature with a fast hardener and can be post cured in 8 hours at 60 degrees.

Thats 12 hours more more than I was planning so I think I need to find a new system.

Please could anyone offer any advice on what to buy instead?

Thanks

Huntsman Araldite MY721. 2hr 150, 2hr 180 for proper cure sched. Might be ok with a 3hr 170 cure.
API has a few http://www.appliedpoleramic.com/specs/vartm_rtm.php
We use FCS-2 and SC15. RT cure in 40hr, but can be heat cured in 1hr at 100+
I’m sure there are some companies in the UK can have something. Google searching might work.

Sorry I should have mentioned about 80 degrees C is the highest temperature id like to cure at. Im going to make my own curing chamber so I wouldn’t want to go too hight with the temp.

I have found a company that supplies what im looking for in the uk where you can buy online however its fairly expensive.

If you are looking for a latent epoxy system it will always be expensive, why dont you take a RT system with a pot time of 5 hours? That should always be enough. Remember that curing at high temp may cause tensions in the part.

Im sure I read somewhere that by curing at temperature you make the part stronger. Is this not so?
Thanks

Curing can makes part stronger but it’s not worth the expense or time unless you really need the parts to be strong. How strong it gets depends on the specific resin and for that specific information you should talk to the company that supplies the resin.
