I have been using the hose and I really like it although I’d like it better if the price came down.
Hello DDcompound, I worte an private message to your account, but no response, could you pls contact me for application of your product? cheers Robert
Are you still sending out samples of your porduct?
Yes, we still send samples to countries where no distributor is located. Send me a PM.
Talk to Vacmobiles to act as a distributor in New Zealand.
You can contact them, they have a sample in house. Maybe they will give you a meter for tests.
I read this entire thread, each page making me more enthusiastic about using it… till I got to the price on page 25(?)… this would add $49 to the cost of every boat… ouch
But you won’t need a resin catch pot, or resin brakes, making infusion easier infusion is more expensive, but provides better quality. It’s not always more efficient, but on boathulls I would go for infusion over hand layup in most cases
And you will not spend 10 hours refinishing the part. So if you like to earn more than $5 it is a smart move. Let the materials work for you.
Of course if $5 is what you are comfortable with, please come over here, and I have plenty of places to keep you going.
hello,
do you have a distributor in Greece ?
thanks
Well… I could always use 5 bucks… perhaps a sample is in order.
I have been using this product for over a year now. Initially I too was concerned with the cost. My projects require a resin that has a very long gel time. Prior to using MTI hose it was extremely difficult to control resin content due to excessive bleed off after full wet out.
Now I do not use a catch pot and can calculate exactly how much resin I need. You will save the cost in waste resin alone and in the overall scheme of cost in most composite components a few extra dollars to ensure a quality part is nothing.
Money well spent in my experience.

Can the hose be placed directly on the laminate and peeled off without any aid? How bad is the underlying scar?
You can place it direct on the laminate or let it “fly” by wrapping it in peelply and place it in a wrinkle of the bagging film. The peelply will allow air to travel to the MTI hose but you will not have any print on the part.
Hello Dominik, i have replied your email monday this week and resend it today. Pls let me have your feedbacks. Thanks in advance! Cheers Robert
where can I order MTI hose in North America?
Thanks
Hi, I have a question about MTI hose, it does not let resin , but, what happens with water vapor or oil mist? Does it flow though the membrane? Is it tested?
Regards and thanks
Water vapour is tested. It can pass the membrane. Thats important to get all the moisture out of you dry evacuated fabrics.
Oil vapour is not tested, you should not have oil in your fabrics. But I think it can also pass the membrane.
Ok thanks, I asked why is important let pass water. For oil I talk by opposite direction, that oil arrive from the pump to your fabrics. Perhaps, hose also solve that problem.
Regards and thanks
