I think he might meant that was exspensive?. It all depends your supplier I guess. I hate mine because one month I will pay $1,500 for a roll then the next month I will pay $1,900. I HATE IT!
When I used to pay $30/yard it was expensive. Now I’m paying probably about 16 or 17.

hey when you do your overlays, how many layers of epoxy do you do?
I don’t use epoxy. I’ve only done a couple overlays and don’t remember the exact amount but I would estimate 3 coats of per.
on your dash for the 96-00 civic are you making a full dash manufactured or is it going to be a manufactured overlay? I have someone that wants a manufactured one and if you are doing that I will swing him your way
I may make a run or two if I can figure it out. I need to get ahold of the car to make mounting points and ensure fitment.

yep, tring to gauge some interest in some stuff. Yeah mastergrade is a pain in the ass. I told them that several dashes have been done and sold on ebay already. I used my other ebay name, and I was kinda a rude

I guess hate is a strong word. They frustrate the heck out of me because it seems they can develop a product in days compared to my weeks. I know I can beat their price though. They have quite a bad rep on s2ki.
that sucks about the rep, just bad products or service? I have met the owner on several occasions and he seemed pretty cool, I even took a ride in his S2000 in Vegas. His engine cover concepts I thought was rather sweet and the front lip on his bumper that goes all the way back I enjoyed as well. I know he is pain in the butt because he is very stuborn!
They took a very large order on one of their first products a center console for the s2k and couldn’t deliver. I guess they didn’t expect the number of people interested.
I wish I had the time to work solely on the business. I am actually thinking of changing my line of work from auto’s to something else. The market is just swamped with companies that can produce alot of products. Much faster than any 3 person 4 car garage operation can.
Very true! I am mostly private label now, I am letting everyone else try and sell the products, so I only have to work with a set few companies rather then hundreds of customers. Works so much better and a lot less stress. I am making house interior stuff now as well. Some people on FG might remeber me posting some stuff I was doing
Mastergrade closed. They got kicked out of their shop by the city. They were one of my local accounts for supplies and I am still owed some money. I don’t think I’m going to get it back though.
Perry is a good designer. He just doesn’t have the right manufacturer. I would help him out, but it’s too late now.

I would agree, he’s one hell of a designer although I don’t like his taste.
