HAYABUSA 2012 Carbon fiber project!!!

Before a couple of weeks a customer send me all the plastic parts of SUZUKI HAYABUSA 2012 to make them in carbon fiber. I have already start the progress for molds and really take a lot of time to create them:(.

The parts are:

[li]Headlight
[/li][li]Front hugger
[/li][li]rear hugger
[/li][li]Side panels
[/li][li]Fairings
[/li][li]Tank
[/li][li]Rear tail
[/li][li]Tank covers
[/li][li]Rear seat cover

Below you can see some of the finished parts starting from Front hugger:

outstanding work!! Any pics of the molds you made?

Oh geez, not ANOTHER motorcycle! People like George_grat are a terrible influence on me, I just want to go buy a motorcycle and ride! Did that once with horrible results, pretty lucky that I’m not permanently disabled.

Great work George. These parts look too good. Make them worse so I’m not tempted to kill myself on a bike.

ahahahhaha Really thxs man.

very nice work as always!

I was wondering what tools you use to trim the part after you remove it from the mould?

I have 3 different dremel tools:

Simple dremel
kress 1050 fme-1 PLUS Flexible Shaft
Air die grinder

hi mate, i’ve been having a play with carbon myself for my bikes i own, how did u do the front hugger? is it a 2 part mould and did u vac bag it?? very nice work by the way,

This is only one mold and not 2. I am add all the layers and then make infusion. One complete bag cover all the mold

ive always wondered about this, i always thought with one mold u wouldnt be able to get the hugger out properly without breaking the mold or the part??
