CNC aluminum molds

Thanks for the explanation.
I like the idea of injecting into the tooling board molds.
I’ve been considering leaving out the leading edge trough as well but its difficult with a non flat parting plane, so I only make the trough very small,small enough to machine but small enough to be easy to sand off at the end.

I make my molds directly off the tooling board I don’t even put a coat of paint on, my gel coat is not the hardest but is easy enough to polish up quick without affecting the shape.
I have not tried this with the wings yet but will probably use a coat of poly paint.

There is a lot of choice…

Anticorodal is easier to machine and its surface doesn’t oxidize.
