Finished pictures :).
Thanks! It took roughly 50 hours to make and perfect the mold, but it’s all worth it to make perfect parts :).
Very very nice.
Just wondering how much your selling one of these? I have a friend with a Transformer Camaro here in OZ i think will like this:)
Looking Good!!! Well Done!!! It’s a shame that half of it is hidden!!
Looks great! Good job!
That is a great mold, and great looking finished product.
Thanks everybody for the great words! I’ll post more pics later of the trim jig and everything. We picked up a gel coat dump gun earlier today so hopefully that picks up production :).
I’ll pm you :).
I’ll pm you shortly :).
Do you have a prefered tool to trim the piece up with?
It looks real nice.
good! only a question, did you used some clear gelcoat before infusion? how did you get the cf sticked to the mold?
regards.
Antonio
Clear Gel Coat.
For this particular product I like to trim the outside with a recriprocating saw. The inside I use a dremel.
Yep! Clear gel coat with a post trim automotive clear coat. Usually 2 - 3 sessions of clear coat. That’s how we get our shine.
Just curious, do you remember about how much resin you used for the mold? my guess is about a gallon correct?
