are there any carbon fiber sheets that are flexible like hard rubber or leather?

in other words a carbon fiber composite of some sort that can be bent and worked with like leather? or would carbon fiber fabric layered on each other until they would reach a certain thickness work?

Well, there are several types of resins that are flexible, and you can have one or two layers of carbon, making the whole thing a flexible sheet. As for being WORKED like leather? What do you mean? Holes, and stuff, or shaping?

It seems the trouble with layers of carbon is that carbon fabric is only about .012 inches thick. So it would take so many layers to make a piece that might be about 1/8" thick. Unless there is a composite that I could use resin to attach the carbon fiber to. Like maybe carpeting or something. It would be to make pouches etc. like in leather work. As to what I mean by working with leather: yes holes and shaping. Holes could be drilled however.

Whats the application? Is it cosmetic? Otherwise, flexible carbon is a bit pointless. Im working on some flexible aramid things at the moment with epoxies and polyurethanes.

1/8" thick is too thick of any composite to bend and be flexible (relatively…), and from what you are saying, you want to work it as a material to make something. Like this? (https://www.etsy.com/listing/113755558/carbon-fiber-portfolio-black-velcroless?ref=related-4)

Remember, just because a plastic, or leather is 1/8" thick, doesn’t mean your carbon sheet has to be the same.
