starting at £58 per meter… think when you go over 5 meters it drops to £44

The shipping on 15yrds was $89.60. In my experience HMRC will charge about the equivalent of our VAT rate on top of the material value before I can have it…
I’m expecting the total price to be not far off (probably a bit cheaper) than what Carbon Mods are doing it for.
The only way to beat the system is to have someone in the US send it over to you with a de-valued price, the problem then is that you have to take a risk as the insurance cover has to match the claimed value of course.
When sending parts through our Post Office system you can insure the goods at ‘cost’ to you, as if or when it gets damaged/lost they will only pay out this amount, not the sale price. I don’t know if other parcel companies adopt the same policies.
Sorry, I’ve rambled on a bit. Nevermind, just having a relaxing Sunday morning before wandering off to do a bit in the workshop… :rolleyes:

i think from east coast fibreglass the min postage is £9.50 +vat
So to consider that for £12 i can get carbon from newcastle, or for £55 i can get even more range from america… im sold!

Shipping from CompositeEnvisions to me would run around $20-25. Also Evodelta let me ask Sean to help you out with VAT… he can get me any cloth CE sells.
I’m probably going to have to order some cloth from UK soon. basketweave carbon-kevlar yellow. But I don’t think the US charges much taxes from UK… we’ll see. Also guys there are vendors in Japan who sell cloths… not sure if that would cheapen the VAT to UK?
Also check out carrReinforcements.com because I believe they are in UK. You may also ask OPPracing.com (email) and ask where in the UK they get their cloths. Just tell them you don’t make sportbike parts since that is their thing.
