Wrapping Technique's

What are some good techniques you guys use? I’m a beginner so any help appreciated. Tips for rounding corners keeping the weave together and such. I’m NOT using pre preg.

Inside radii, or outside, or trying to do a rolled edge?
First one depends on your part. Some curves (in or out) won’t distort at all. Sometimes you can use a TINY bit of adhesive spray in the large areas, and slowly work the curves. Sometimes you can NOT help but cut the fabric (dart) and make the seam part of the design. if the part will be painted, you can dart away, or use smaller pieces.

What is “dart”? I’m working on the outside of parts, some have a small corner sharp edge to go around and the corner wants to separate the material. Its a PAIN. No parts are going to be painted, just cleared and UV protected.

Dart is when you cut a “V” out, and then you fold the material in the direction, the V edges butt up to each other. Think a simple open cardboard box. It’s like a + sign, not a full rectangle. Those corners of missing fabric are the darts.
I would try looking into adhesive spray. Are you doing infusion or wet layup? The only way to get a curve to stay up on wet layup is tape and vacuum bagging, and lots of luck

I planned on doing layup. I don’t know how to do any of the other techniques. I thought layup would be real easy, guess not. what do you guys mostly use?
