Well I made my glass airbox by wet layup and poly resin, but now the house stinks and I’m getting crap for it. I did it in the garage with the door closed but the house still has the smell. anyone ever have this problem? I have openend all the windows and doors and allowed crossbreezes (over the past few days) for long periods of time but the smell still lingers. Anyone ever have this problem? Any solutions? I know this is not your typical question…
Typical, try getting some PER Odor suppressors and add it into all yout PER. A little goes a long ways…
And never use it near any pilot light or open flame as the fumes are easily a fire hazard.
Yeah, I’ve been trying and trying and trying to tell my bud that his wood stove in his shop is not a good idea!!! He uses his chopper gun RIGHT BESIDE the stove too!!! Been doing this for 2 winters now though, so he thinks it’s OK- I think he’s taking a HUGE gamble!!
You have to have the perfect mix of air and vapors to have somethign explode.
Typicaly if you have something burning before you use it, its not something that will progress into an explosive situation. Its more likely to be noxious with the lack of air.
I use propane heat in my composite bay…Im not set up for winter here and this year its bit me right in the ass…we got a couple feet of snow here and Ive never seen more than a half inch here that melted by the next day.
So I had to start using a propane heater…
Also, with using the PER odor suppressors, don’t be duped into thinking you don’t need your quailty resperator as the fumes are still not healthly for you too!
Thanks for the info.
