I am new to this. I am going to try to build some wings for a race car that I have. First of all these will be a multi-wing arrangement on the front and rear of the car. Basically like on an Indy car. I am looking at making this by using foam, carbon fiber and the vacuum bagging process. So I have a couple of questions. What might be the best way to make the spar? The spar on the main wing will need to have some kind of center mount (to mount it to the car) and end mounting for the end plates to carry the load from the upper wings. Can I cut the leading edge and the trailing section and glue them to a aluminum box spar? This spar then could have the anchor bolts for the center mount and anchor bolts for the end pate.
