I got some 1x1cm x 750mm pultruded cf tube from hobbyking.com works great!, I might get some braided CF and wet it out over the tube to make it stronger cross directionally.
anyone know of a place that would sell this pultruded CF square tube at wholesale pricing?

I have been using this square (square with round hole/centre) CF pulltruded tube from HK and it’s good but the sides where the hole meets the square are very thin so if it is twisted enough then it splits down the length.
Adding a braid would fix it great if you need to.
I glue a rod inside mine so this solves the problem too.
I have read about people gluing a wood dowel rod down the middle with gorilla glue, is that what you do?
I have been gluing a solid fibreglass rod batten in with epoxy resin.
I didn’t check the price difference with the hobbyking site, but Dragon Plate has a variety of different tubes, shape, sizes, etc. though I didn’t see any up to (or near) 10mm size. http://dragonplate.com/ecart/categories.asp?cID=103
I know I’ve seen some square pultruded tubes on the Dragonplate.com website, though it looks like the largest size they have advertised is 1/4" (6.35mm). It may be worth asking if they have (or can get) a larger size though, as they seem to have a rather extensive collection of composite tubes/structural items.
