I am trying to figure out what fiber and resin I will need. I want to make a mold of a statue. The resin and fiber needs to be heat resistant (500 f) and will be outside. I do plan to paint the structure.
Any suggestions?
How big is the statue? How many copies will you be making? What will the statue be made of?
The more info you can provide about your project, the easier it will be for someone to get you on the right path. Pics help a lot too…
The statue is 4ft long by 3.5 ft high. I plan on making a fiber glass outer cast. I want to see if it can be done first before I know if I can make more.

For statues and the like, you will very probably also need to meet fire retardency regulations. See if the product “Master Works” is something for you. It used to be marketed by Rohm and Haas, but I am not sure at this moment.
