I don`t know about anyone else but i use 904-040 clear with no problems, just let it cure hard if using epoxy for your infusion.
I got mine from polyfibre, not cheap but it goes a long way

so its polyester based but it works with epoxy…would you say it is brushable? i dont have spray gear
Yep polyester, I`m sure i read a post somewhere by doogie that it was ok to use with epoxy as long as the poly had cured (probably get shot down in flames now) anyway i did a test piece and all seemed okay.
I dont see why you cant brush it on, it
s quite runny so you`ll need to apply a few thin coats. I use an HVLP gun with a 1.8 nozzle which lays it down perfectly.

i have an oil filled radiator in my garage (keeps the car warm in the winter soft ol bugger that i am) Then i just pump as much as i need into a mixing container and leave it on the rad for half an hour then add the hardener just before use, works a treat
Duratec is now owned by Rev Chem Plastics, but find your local dist. as shipping from Calif. might add to the costs. www.duratec1.com
If any one has a need for a pressure pot heater, a pressure pot with heater and top air powered mixer (I’ll covert the air mixture to use in 55 gallon drums with a longer shaft and more blades, unlike what I made a few weeks ago with a steel rod and welding big washers onto it which I had to take my air drill from the home shop to use) just showed up on my desk at school! It does have a BIG asp valve under the pot but I think I’ll convert the pressure pot into a degassing chamber but I have no use for the heater setup.
you can spray it out of a cheap Harbor Freight $15 spray gun, I would do that then brush it!
Doh i just phoned polyfibre up (twice) and they claim not to stock duratec
Any other suppliers out there?
they used to list it on thier site

Mikey, check with Polyfibre again because i recently bought some from them, it is listed in their Releasing,Cutting And Polishing section it`s called Durabuild surface coatings but is in fact Duratec and the cans are labelled Duratec.
