Hello, when Imake a mould I usually use plasticine (the same that use childrens in the school) to plug the holes and flanges in the original piece, but I want to know if I should use a special plasticine or other product like moldeable wax.
Hi
I recommend this http://www.easycomposites.co.uk/products/soft-yellow-filleting-and-filling-wax.aspx Not suitable for pre preg/oven work
you can scrape off and re use the wax when the mould has been produced

That is yellow wax filler from Pelikan. It is also called “Nakiplast” and can be polished somewhat to a shine.
So I assume that product is hard wax. I thin that probably sell in crafts and sculpture shops.
So nakiplast is better than the usual plasticine?
Hi Heiwaz,
I use wax from a local sculpture shop. Look for “Sculpting Wax” or “Molding Wax”.
Works as good as the wax Chris mentioned, had this also and think it’s the same.
Gets soft in your hands for easy handling, it’s hard enough to make flanges and can be re-used unlimited times as its does not dry out in storage.

Yes, must be the same. Pelikan Nakiplast is found in craft stores usually. We buy it per 3 boxes. (36 in a box)
