What means Peak Exotherm?

Hi guys

I am choosing a resin to build my moulds and find in the datasheets statements like “Peak exotherm (°C) (250g - 25°C - 1,5% MEKP) :… 170 - 190”. If this is true it will burn away my model plug away that is out of fiberglass and eps. The plug only withstands 85ºC.
Should i expect tempreatures in that range (170-190)? They recommen 4 layers of 450 in one shot.

Your laminate doesn’t reach that exotherm temps. 4 layers of 450 g/m2 will be around 50 a 60 C with rm3000 and optimold. Atleast that’s what I measured at the outside. Some spots get hotter then other spots.
