What means Peak Exotherm?

Hi guys

I am choosing a resin to build my moulds and find in the datasheets statements like “Peak exotherm (°C) (250g - 25°C - 1,5% MEKP) :… 170 - 190”. If this is true it will burn away my model plug away that is out of fiberglass and eps. The plug only withstands 85ºC.
Should i expect tempreatures in that range (170-190)?

That’s for a 250 gram mass. It doesn’t get that hot when you are laying up unless you lay up FAR too thick.

Yes that peak exotherm is for when its mixed in a cup. For example, see here when a load of catalyst was thrown into approx 400gm
