what is a software for analysing crbon fiber parts

i am learning to product design for carbon fiber parts, what is a software for analysing crbon fiber parts that i want to know .please let me know and Give me a little learning materials.

Kolibri is a design and analysis tool for composite materials and structures.

Others: please add to the list

Solidworks has a (crude) simulation for composites, and Catia is widely used in the composites industry to design and analyse composites

Some more software I’ve found HTH

The composites capabilities of most CAD and FEA software is fairly limited.

Where accuracy is needed, most designers turn to third party specialist software, usually in the form of an add on to their standard CAE packages.

The big name seems to be Fibersim, however Hypersizer, and Simulayt’s Advanced Fibre Modeler are also well regarded. Note: Hypersizer is kind of different than the other two, and is sometimes used along side other software. It was developed as sort of a preliminary structure / pre-meshing program.

The main advantage of these packages for analysis is the ability to reduce cpu time in FEA applications by defining the plys accurately and setting up material properties that allow you to get away without treating every single fiber as an individual element.

Most of the high end CAD and Meshing programs are starting to integrate the same technology but they still have a ways to go.

Note: None of these products are what you would call inexpensive. You’d better be well versed in the benefits before requesting funds for a license from management or your university’s board.
