What got everyone started to work with composites? Anything specific?
I started because I wanted to learn early, because hopefully all of what I pick up will be applicable for my business somewhere down the line. 
I realized that I could never afford any of Dinan’s stuff so I decided to do make them myself. My wife is not too happy about it but she understands.
You’re not the only one…and neither is your wife. 
I like building stuff. The love of cars is really a new thing for me because I wasn’t really a car person in the past. Maybe that’s because I never owned a car that I liked until recently. Anyway, there’s a lack of stuff for my car, so I decided to start making stuff for myself.
It was a really expensive learning process, but I enjoyed it. Now I’m glad it’s getting cold enough that I can get back to ‘bidness.’
I’m just the opposite. I love cars. I have a 2001 BMW 330Ci and a 1999 BMW M3. I’ve been really interested in CF for a couple years. I just recently decided to learn how to fabricate my own parts.
I’m looking forward to it!
