What do you think of this resin ?

G’day all !

Has anyone used resin from this company: Resin Services?

Specifally Im looking at ordering thisepoxy laminating resin.
It’s the highest temp clear resin I can find. I intend to use it in the engine bay for cam covers, timing chain covers and maybe a plenum on my V8.

As I have to order it from the US to Aus it wont be cheap.
I was hoping the pro’s here might give there blessing to it ?

Thanks for any comments or advice.

I use the Resin Services resin systems.
I use them for regular and oven cure vacuum bagging and some infusion.
I use the HTR 212:
W/302 hardener for clear epoxy surface coats. I use this in place of Poly gel when an all epoxy part is desired.
W/38699 hardener when I vacuum bag and infuse.

The HTR212 is much more flexible than the HTR250.
I use the HTR250 when the part needs to be very stiff.

I also try to use the same resin for the mold that the part will be made from.

The High Temp Tooling Dough with the black HSC902 surface coat with no aluminum is also very good and fast.

I have started using the Epoxical for the infusion parts lately only because it is much thinner and it flows better.

With a bit of practice you can get a surface finish that equals infusion.
It just takes more attention, time and some additional heat.
Get a long pot like hardener just in case.

I can’t find the epoxical on their site. Does it go by another name?

I think he meant --> Epoxical

Thanks for the info BTW.
Are you using it for its high temp properties or for some other reason?
How do you find it handles heat?

Cheers buddy.
