Hi, everyone. Does anybody know what clearcoat is used in this video [ame=“http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBvUgNRiJdY”]CARBON FIBER BY: ROBSON DESIGN QUALITY MANUFACTURER - YouTube[/ame]
Great thickness and clarity. Maybe it`s a resin, then I wonder what resin is it?
You can ask or make a comment in the comment area for that video. Most video posters respond promptly.
I think it coats like a polyester coating resin (like surfboard resins).
These level very well and are far easier to sand than any epoxy coats.
It would likely also have a UV two pack paint on top??
cf with epoxy, pe clear topcoat for thickness and depth and the final pu 2k clear coat for glossy and scratch free UV stable surface. What do you think about that? Lots of hand work, is it worth? maybe there are other ways?
found polyurethane clear resin! polytek company, poly-optic 1411 resin, fast curing, for water imitation, it also has good hardness after post curing, can be applied in thick coat at once. Like in this video ))) But it has to be degased rapidly and low humidity is necessity.
