Werks, i see on another post in this section you may need some help on keeping the site going.

Well Werksberg i for one do not want to see this excellent site go for lack of funds so why not do a membership fee after all its like a club and all clubs have fees. Some of the car sites have fees. I would fear that asking for donations as suggested will not work to well. One car site i am a member of has a gold membership which allows access to certain areas others cannot go, these areas offer technical info you just cant buy. It also allows you to sell on the site and all for a paltry £20 a year.

Best of luck, i for one will pay a membership fee.

Yes, it will be tight for awhile and the renewing fees are coming up…:rolleyes:

I have been trying to get around to setting up a paid per view section with my own “Power Points” & videos, but never enough time.

I was going to post my business Paypal account, but with all the spammers we have been banning off here has gotten so out of hand, it takes alot of our time.

But if anyone wants to chip in a little, PM and I’ll give you my Paypal account addy.

If anyone wants to donate say $100, they will get all of my Composites & Plastics classroom handouts, some Dunstone shrink wraps, several large pieces of FG materials, Kevlar and other goodies… Plus when I get My Composite classroom (paid section up and running) they get it for free!

Hey Werk…you know Ill help out any way I can. I donated to the school last time.

I agree though, it would be nice if we had a basic section that was free and then a pay part that the rest of us could be in. There is a 2 stroke engine site like that…called MACDIZZY that you pay 10 bucks for a year to access. It keeps alot of us that spend time here from having to weed thru tons of random questions that are asked agian and again.

So maybe you could put up the basic tutorials in a free section and the rest be a paid membership site so we can discuss problems and techniques.

Id bet it would end up working real well. I have no problem paying for the access.

The info Ive learned on here has helped me at my job big time. I finally convinced my boss to let me use infusion on a few parts. Now he’s convinced its the way to go.

Another forum I used to frequent SR20forum.com has basic and forum suporter memberships. The supporting members get free photo hosting, and access to MUCH better info, like ECU reprogramming and what not. Just another option.

I just has been a tough month and I still have lots more to remove from the classroom. I’m going to try and get the business caught up this next week but…

Werks sent a donation to the keep the forum going fund today, hope you have received it and it helps. It would seem the other guys are willing to help so should be good.

…guys, I’m overwelmed! All the monies will go to extending the domain name, hosting and V-Bulletin membership for the latest updates for many years!:p…and added features too!

Thank you and those that have sent me money, you will be the first paid members for the special pay per-view section in the near future! After I get fully moved out of the classroom and the business caught back up too!

Yes luisn, I think I got both of them but I have until Monday to finish removing everything from the classroom and tirn in my keys. I’ll be sending out samples of cups and other over excess items out to members donating (and I can find their address) but give me time to get organized.

The school already threw out in the dumpster $5,000 worth of rotational molders that I had modified to also do vinyl dipping (remember those plastic coin cases that you squeezed to open…) and to make plaster of paris piggy banks from latex molds too!:mad::(:o

My back and shoulder is killing me…
