Well...I'm finally finished with my first CF project.

Here’s how the first project turned out.

I spent countless hours experimenting and screwing up and experimenting some more. Honestly, I must have messed up half a dozen times before I had something respectable enough to post a picture of. I’m planning to install these parts on my E36 M3 tomorrow and then move on to a few larger items. I owe a few people various items and now I’m confident enough in my ability to make CF stuff myself.

Looking good Vince. Keep it up.

Evan

Thanks Evan. I could not have done it without all your help…or your vacuum pump.

Holy crap that looks great! I gave up doing it all by hand, but glad to see you stayed with it.

Thanks!!!

I think my next couple of projects will go much smoother and faster. This was a great learning process and a lot of fun.

People on this forum were extremely helpful!

Let me know when you get caught up with your projects. I will put you to work on some of the pieces I gave up on. :frowning:

Really? I’d definitely be interested!

Think you will be comfortable doing larger objects?

Define “larger”. I’m planning to get into mold making of larger things like spoilers and splitters. However, my ability to accomodate larger projects will be limited by the amount of physical space I have in my basement. I don’t think my fiance is going to be too pleased if I take over more space.

Let me know what you have in mind.

Half the size of most spoilers. I have a few interior panels that need done. And a headliner insert that is the size of a moonroof panel. Total, about 2-2.5 yards of fabric.

We should chat over the phone and talk through the logistics of this. You have an email address?

sure do, hit me up at trickkid@hotmail.com

Those pieces look great Vinny. Very, very nice.

Thanks!

Finish those project pieces so we can talk about doing mine. Hehehehe
