Weave distortion or patch

What is better when making parts for sale ,weave distortion or patch.Some spots you just cant help it but is the least desired ?

I’d rather see a different piece rather than a distorted weave.

As carboncactus, I’d rather see a different piece than distorted weave. I tend to think distorted weave looks untidy and like someone hasn’t taken proper care when laying the carbon fabric.

Ok and how about the black gel coat ?Would it be better to see a little gel coat or patch ??
