Anyone have experience having thin (approx 1 mm thick) carbon fiber/epoxy components trimmed with water jet? How clean were the edges, were there strands or delamination? What about any overshoot from the spray marking up the rest of the part?
It works great. The cuts a very precise, there’s no “overshoot.”
Edges are very clean if a good resin is used. Otherwise, nothing some finish sanding can’t fix.
The resin is reninfusion 8604, measured and mixed properly.
Is “overshoot” not a technical term?
