Water Dissolvable Cores

Here’s an interesting article on water dissolvable cores produced through rapid prototyping. Although the article states that it is currently a university project, I am sure I have seen this somewhere before. Can anyone point me to a rapid prototyping company that uses this process?

Many thanks

Many times i have layed up over shaped foam them melted the foam away. Melted out the middle to leave me with a hollow component. Used this for prototyping, things like prototype or one off airboxes, brake ducts ect ect. Never heard of a foam that could be melted away using water however.

Oops, forgot the link!

Advanced Ceramics is still selling Aquacore? I thought they moved away from their normal products and switched it completely to a better sealing system. Just don’t forget the seal/coat If you use Aquacore, else you have a layer of sand inside your part!!!
