Well, the source I thought I was going to buy from sounds like they are internet scammers if the other internet rumors are true. I tried to call them once before placing an order but nobody answered and nobody called me back.
Try TEAM Textiles in Woonsocket, http://www.teamtextiles.com/ or contact Michael Heaton, he is very helpful - Michael Heaton <mheaton@comcast.net> they can weave small runs etc. I have been buying all my cloth from them for many years, good service and even better prices compared to most online outlets, give them a try!.
I own a cosmetic and structural carbon fiber manufacturing company that specializes in exotic, luxury, and sports cars, so I deal with a handful of these type of companies.
Personally, I tried to call Composit Envisions every day for four days trying to get a sample of, and ultimately buy, 10 yards of a fabric that they were selling for $85 per yard to be used for a SEMA project. I emailed, posted on their Facebook page, emailed again (multiple times), etc… And never got a single call back.
To the OP: I say that to say this: they buy a LOT of their products from sollercomposites.com, mark them up, then eventually ship them to you. This all happens while you have to endure the absolute worst in customer experience I’ve ever encountered.
Every time I’ve spoken with them, they’ve been nothing but eager to please. (also, did you guys know that the key employees all own a portion of the company?)
The risk of getting what you want from Composite Envisions isn’t worth the risk.
Soller won’t let you down, especially since it’s LITERALLY the same stuff without the markup.
I kinda got the idea from a company called VZ Grips:
they use a material called G10, which, IIRC, is fiberglass.
since I don’t have a moulding machine or a CNC router do those kinds of designs, I think what was a EUREKA! moment when I came up with a way to blend colors that would yield an eye striking finished design.
DO NOT BUY FROM COMPOSITE ENVISIONS, really nice web site but no product to send, aleast not to me. It’s been over a month and nothing was sent to me. I have called afew times, and have sent 4 emails trying to see where my material is, and no response.
I , have to say that in the past myself , and a few other people have had no problem’s getting material from them untill recently or just before they were making a move to another location and in the process of training new people but non the less thank you jap for the link or site , and just by chance are there any other sites out there that anyone might know of in the good ole USA .
http://www.sollercomposites.com/ Not to be rude but …first off you guys are in China and from the looks of things you do not have as much to offer as Soller does at this point in time .
Dear, there no perfect man in this world, we have to admit that everyone has his advantage together with disadvantage, the same with Sollar and our company. If anyone have request, welcome you to inquiry first. Thank you!
