I just took my first carbon parts for a test ride on Sunday and it all worked…it really worked great. Insane. I’m pumped.
I’m most impressed with the properties of Uni-Carbon and Nomex Honeycomb sandwich construction. Unreal on the lightness, stiffness, and ability to withstand shear forces. I’m totally sold on Uni-carbon and Nomex sandwich construction for everything I’m doing… :lol:
Is it possible to do Vacuum Infusion with a Nomex Honeycomb core? It just seems to me like it would be difficult to wetout all of the fibers and not get a ton of resin in the honeycomb cells. I’m really, really curious to try to use Vacuum Infusion, and everything I’m going now is Uni/Nomex sandwich. VIP or no VIP?
