Guys I’m looking for a resin or epoxy to make a cutting board. Is there in that would take the knife and be hard enough to not leave scratches?
Thanks

not sure about a resin system but you could consider spraying the surface with a ceramic clear coat. probably will be harder than most off the shelf resins you can get in small volumes.
not sure what would be the best properties for a cutting board… A knife is gonna scratch it, as it will be harder than epoxy.
I did at one point find a resin that was food safe. I’d think that food safe would probably be more of a concern than hardness? I was trying to make a carbon coffee cup, but found that all the food safe resins were not good at temperature around boiling. I can’t remember who made the resins now… maybe it was bayer? I also couldn’t say what color they were.
you have seen this?

maybe laying carbon onto the back of a sheet of glass will work ?
That would be cool
