Vacuum Pump Oil Question

Hey guys,
Sorry for another beginner question, but I was about to order a robinair vacuum pump and ran into a little snag when purchasing the vacuum pump oil. I cannot seem to find anyone that is willing to ship the oil dues to it being liquid to hawaii. Anyone know of a substitute or a specific oil you can use in the pump that I could possibly purchase locally?

Maybe check with an air conditioning place. Vacuum pumps are used to service AC units. Maybe you can ask one of the shops to sell you a quart?

Auto part store usually have that for the mechanics who service air conditionning.

Thanks for all the help so far. I emailed hawaii chemical and scientific, hopefully they can help. I’ve called around many places and no one on this island carries vacuum pump oil so far and I called the big companies on this island, sears, oriley autoparts, etc.

Cheapest I’ve found online that ships to hawaii is asking $39 a quart and amazon is asking $82 a quart. I really don’t want to but I might have to give it up and go with a Venturi and use my compressor which is only a 2hp 29 gallon compressor that pushes 5.4 cfm@90psi. Kinda cutting it close for a small 3 cfm Venturi.

And another problem. Called the only distributor for vacuum products and they only sell vacuum bagging materials. No infusion mesh…grrrrr

Can’t you just use compressor oil?

Sweet finally located a quart on this island. Damn that was hard to find. Now time to find a place online that will sell infusion mesh without ripping me off for shipping or a bad rep
