vac ragulators for bagging

would any body know if you would need a vac ragulator when using vac bagging to limit the Hg or is it more the better?

the vac I just got does 20 microns at 6cfm

I know for infusion more the better is required

What are you going to do? Infusion or just regular vacuum bagging?

both
but for bagging wouldn’t you have to limit tha vac

vac ragulators are pricey, I guess because it is so prociss, not just a restriction like for air.
Ive seen needle bleed off valves
Found a vac ragulator but is $100
knowbody knows what Iam talkin about… just have to go form one place to another to find any thing around here

I would just use a relief valve and a shut off valve. Shut off the air flow once you know there is no leak and use the relief valve to lower the pressure to whatever you want.

I second that. I also use the check valves, they let the air go in one direction.

good idea…save money were you can…
So if you have a sound seal the vac will stay!
Have you ever used a quick coupler on your through bag conector, that when the hose is removed it seals. like a female air hose coupler?

thanx evan
It makes things so easier to talk to people that know that the hell your talkin about…

Quick coupler is cool, but in infusion you don’t want to disconnect anything entirely. A leak could develop at anytime and the coupler would get clogged if the resin reaches the air line. And resin often does reach the air line into the pressure pot.

thanx guys…
