Hi
I have a hood mold made for my Alfa Romeo Milano and I am planning to lay up some carbon fiber and kevlar honeycomb in it. I was thinking I would wet out one ply of carbon, one ply of kevlar cloth, then lay in the honeycomb, then add one more ply of carbon.
Then seal it in a vaccum bag. Problem is, I have no experience with these materials. I dont have a good idea how much vac pressure to apply. I want to pull resin through the honeycomb and into the top layer of carbon, but I dont want to suck too hard and undermine everything. What is a conservative number for vaccum pressure?
thanks
James
