How are you bleeding your part? Your bleeder/breather setup is what will determine how much resin you draw out. You do want some resin bleed so that the air and volatiles can be removed. Wet layup is also partly based on your technique. How much resin do you use? Do you weigh your material? How does your bag look when you’re done? clean pleats with smooth surfaces?
Dropping the vaccuum will reduce the pressure, and possibly reduce the amount of resin drawn out of the laminate but, not necessarily. I think full vac is better. You should control the bleed by how you setup your bleeder.
