Does anyone know if there are any good reasons why I shouldnt use cotton flox as a structural filler with VE resin? I mixed up a test batch and the stuff is very strong.
I’m potting some sure loc’s (threaded inserts) in a foam core laminate and the fox mixture seems to dispense out of a caulking tube much easier and more consistently than a similar thickness mill fiber mixture. The mill fiber mixture tends to plug up the tip of the caulking gun.
The other option is to mix up a blend (VE resin / flox / milled fibers).
Any thoughts, comments or insight appreciated!
