USA source for infusion bag? + other stack advice needed

I have been doing some infusion and overall it just isn’t going very well. After some extensive reading here it looks like I am using the wrong bag. I have been using Stretchlon 800. My parts end up with very resin rich areas which I now believe are caused by the bag stretching and relaxing which brings the resin to the relaxed area. I am also using Green Flow 75 Infusion Flow Media and 1.9oz Ny-Ply for the peel ply. I have been having a hell of a time removing the peel ply with the flow mesh. The Ny-Ply comes off easy when the flow mesh isn’t present.

I am making my own carbon fiber motorcycle parts. Usually 4-5 layers of 3K twill 199 GSM.

Which brings me to my question: Can somebody point me to a source for quality infusion bag in the USA? I am only looking for 5-8 yards as I am not in this professionally. Also, is the green flow mesh and the Ny-Ply ok to use or should I be using something else?

That Nylon bag should do it. In my experience, the best bags will be around 0.002" thick and have around 400-500% elongation-to-break. This will generally be quite tough and easier to handle, whilst still be soft enough to not be a pain.

As for your peel ply and mesh combo, I’m sure it’s fine. It always is a pain to remove the consumables, that’s just a downside of infusion. I’d recommend getting some highly perforated release film and using it between your peel ply and flow mesh. This makes it substantially easier to remove the flow mesh, and once that is off then removing the peel ply is much easier too. Extra consumables, but I think it’s worth it. The perforated release film can actually help prevent pinholes as well, so there’s other benefits to the cost.

I get my bagging material from acp composites. I’ve never had an issue, however I do get other supplies from others but the bag itself always from acp

May I humbly suggest www.avtcomposites.com ? We have heavier (.002) bag film and a heavier peel ply as well as the large perf release film.

Your product descriptions on your website are lacking details. I’m interested, but what heavier bag film are you referring to that isn’t the Strechlon 800?

Oops. You are correct, that info was missing. It has been corrected. The high temp film is .002" thick.
