Does anyone know what k this is??? im guessing 96k…if that even exists…i thought it was photoshopped b/c i couldn’t find anything remotely this huge.
It’s likely 3K on an R/C car. That is not a scale automobile.
Spread Tow Fabric
Like Textreme (www.oxeon.se)
also i know this is just a carbon / kevlar alternating plain weave but i can’t seem to find where to buy it. I call it the dog bone weave but is there another name?
This is a 2/2 twill. However Always check before you buy. Patterns may vary.
Edit:
I stand corrected, it is a plain weave. Has 2/3 strands of aramide in one direction (1/3 carbon) and the other way round in the other direction.
Lexan body on an RC car with vinyl carbon printed stickers.
I’ve been looking for that particular “dog bone” fabric in the states forever. Let us know if you find it.
found this but i’d rather buy in roll form

Try this company in Woonsocket - TEAM Textiles - contact Mike Heaton - he is very helpful and they will make almost any weave for you. Michael Heaton <mheaton@comcast.net
I thought this weave looked bigger. The one I made(installed) is 12k spread tow…what is the jumbo checker called(photo on the right) and where can i get it? Also is TeXtreme more jumbo like the photo on the right?
Ro Yale… soller offers what i have already…im looking for the bigger version. If you look at the pickup cutout, you can see 8 weaves per pickup…the bigger one has 5.
Oxeon (Textreme) has various sizes. So pick what you like.
