Unidirectional material rated by what?

Ok, I never had to buy Uni-directional Fiberglass and what is the size for the weight rating?

With mat it is by the square foot.

Cloth is by the square yard.

(Anyone here want to know why the difference in size for rating?)

But Uni-directional is weight rated by what size?

typically it is oz/square yd, or grams/square meter for those metric types

edit: oops, i just read your original post more carefully and noticed you were referring to fiberglass uni…I’m more familiar with carbon uni so I’m not positive about fiberglass sorry. Presumably oz/square yd…

It should be the same for FG or CF. Thank you!

Now, what about FG tri-axle? I would take it is rated the same as cloth so oz. by the square yard? But I have some 3 lb 6.5 oz. FG Tri-axle material going up on Ebay later tonight…

This has been a test of your local (broadcasting) Composite Teacher…
