Transparent Bonnet

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how this transparent bonnet was manufactured. Was it by using a clear casting resin and an inner and outer mould or was a clear transparent sheet draped over a mold and heat applied so it conformed to the shape ? Or was it some other method ? Any ideas would be appreciated.

sheet of clear plastic heated and molded (or heated in mold, whatever). A clear cast resin would be too brittle and shatter if something hit it.
