here are some suggestions for the beginners on types of tools to use for cutting the excess material off your parts.
If you have nothing right now, and want to move up little by little, A “Dremel” is the first way. I actually use a combination of tools. the first and most utilized machine for trimming is my band saw, I also have a scroll saw and use a Die ginder with a carbide bit. I also use a 90 degree angle grinder with Sanding discs and lots of different grit discs.
another item is a die grinder with a sanding arbor and sanding sleeve.
I have even used my dremel with sanding sleeves and grnder bits for smaller detail parts. and of course the pencil grinder.
