I just bought some 3M DP420NS epoxy adhesive in 37ml cartridges. They were made in July 2013. The product spec sheet says they have a shelf life of 15 months. That means almost 12 months of their useable life has evaporated before I have even opened them. Frankly, as a consumer, I am not sure this is satisfactory. I am curious to know how others would feel about buying and receiving epoxy that had four fifths of the useable shelf life already used up. I am also curious about what kind of things one might expect to see if the adhesive was going off because of age. This is a critical project, and I am on the fence about using a product that is older than expected. Any thoughts would be welcome.
