Not quite sure how to run the two here to make sure it has even pull. The green parts at the top will not be covered in carbon. This issue i see is getting resin in the thinner channel and up both towers. This is one mold that does both left and right of the lower nose cone.
Hi, I will paint a infusion setup tomorrow. No problem, will work perfect.
thank you sir
Blue is MTI hose
Orange is Spiral for resin feed
white is just peel ply
If I am right you do not have a mould flange all around so you have to envelope bag what is not perfect but will work.
Place flow media all over the part til 10-20 mm before the MTI hose. Spare the flow media in the white marked area but place peelply there.
Make sure you have a perfect vacuum and degas your resin, then it will work.
That was completely different than what i was thinking! Mine was way more complicated. So the resin will still travel up the walls of the two towers?
For the bag, i can tape it to the outside but envelope bagging will probably be easier.
One pig issue i always have is getting the teflon coated peel ply to stay in place. Do you guys have a trick for holding it in place? One guy said to try the cheap grey duct tape.
I use 3m Super 77 to hold the teflon coated stuff.
i tried that and it didn’t work. I also tried gorilla tape.
The Airtac2 spray adhesive should work.
If you can tape outside I would do that and then double bag with an envelope bag. This is more material and time BUT if you are not that experienced it is always a pain to get the bag tight and double bag makes sure you have a 100% vacuum integrity.
Make sure both bags have no bridging.
If you do that you are sure that you do not have any air getting in the part.
