This isnt spam.. =)

So… i forgot to post this one day, but a couple of weeks ago i was bagging a mold… vacuumed it and it had a leak. DAMNIT! well… dont have a leak detector… cant find it… my ears work but so much (we’re human!)
soo… i desided to make my own leak detector =P

i grabbed one of my hard hose’ that i use for vac out of the mold and resin in. put it to my ear, put it around the mold… slowlly. and found all the leaks! hahaha… yes funny. but listen, it worked!

im gonna have to give that a try!

be careful not to scratch your ear. put the end of the tube right inside b/t the mold and the bag. near the sealant. you will hear a bee type sound. even on the pleats you’ll hear something if theres a leak.

just got another idea. if you have a cheap throw away laptop laying around. and it has a mic input, go to Windows sound recorder, or get a sound program that will show you the sound input level on a graph type… put the input HIGH and carefully pass the mic near the mold. you should hear something.
