Having never dropped a boat on pavement before I would think you would lose more of your surface coats, but I guess not. Why do you think the gel did so well? Is it cause the hull didn’t flex as much because of the reinforcements therefor not allowing the surface coats to flex and “crack” break off? Or would it be something else? Cause I’m about to take some gel coat parts I have and start dropping them off the roof into the driveway to see what happens! :p:D
