Im sorry , I know you guys have touched on this many times but I still dont totally grasp it.
In doing a simple mold like the nosecone below, it would be nice if there was a thick epoxy heavy clear gelcoat that could be brushed on to help the sharp cornered lip at the nosecone shoulder. Is there any such thing?
The only thing I can come up with is to spray and build up with duratec hi gloss clear. Then do the carbon layup.Is there a thich epoxy brushable clear out there?
Try a VE (VinylEster) resin, it is compatable with Epoxy. It is quite brittle though, if the part flexes the VE won’t.
